Alexandre Gauthier

At only 30, Gauthier is considered one of the most promising young talents in French cuisine and is the most talked about
young chef in cooking's intellectual circles. Discovered by Alain Ducasse, who invited him to the Plaza Athénée to demonstrate
his talents, Alexandre showed great creativity in his cooking, combined with great discipline. In recent years Alexandre
Gauthier has cooked throughout the world: at Alain Ducasse's Beige restaurant in Japan; for Louis Vuitton in Beijing,
and at a famous school for chefs in Canada. He has opened Froggy's, a small bistro offering spit-roasted meats in Montreuil,
his town of birth, and another restaurant, Le Channel, in the coastal city of Calais. From the Grenouillère, his typically
"Picardy" eatery, Gauthier enjoys toying with traditions and taste buds alike. Alexandre Gauthier received a first Michelin Star
in 2007 and is today one of the new stars of French cuisine.
